A batch of 28 double-bellows flanged gimbal expansion joints KSUFr has been produced at our own plant — four sizes from DN 65 to DN 150, design pressure 1.6 MPa. The batch is being prepared for shipment.
The batch covers four sizes: KSUFr 65 — 2 pcs, KSUFr 80 — 2 pcs, KSUFr 100 — 10 pcs and KSUFr 150 — 14 pcs. All units are rated for 1.6 MPa and have flanged ends.
A gimbal expansion joint consists of two bellows sections joined by an intermediate pipe and tied together by a linkage with hinges. The linkage absorbs the pressure thrust itself, so it is not transferred to the pipeline anchors. For the designer this means anchors can be calculated for far lower loads, and in some cases heavy thrust blocks can be omitted altogether.
Unlike a hinged joint, the gimbal arrangement allows angular rotation in two planes at once. Two sections spaced by an intermediate pipe turn this rotation into lateral movement: the joint accommodates pipeline displacement in space, not only along the axis. Such units are installed where the route runs with bends and changes of elevation and there is no room for expansion loops.
The bellows are made of stainless steel; the pipe bodies and the gimbal hardware are shop painted. Before shipment every unit undergoes dimensional inspection and a pressure strength test.

Send us the layout of the section and the parameters — diameter, design pressure and temperature, calculated movements — and we will select the type of joint and prepare a quotation.
