Reduces the loss of petroleum products from large and small tank blowouts. It is mounted inside the tank under the breathing valve, into the nozzle of the corresponding nominal bore.

Description

Purpose and design

The reflecting disc changes the direction of the air jet entering the tank from vertical to horizontal — towards the walls. Because of this, the air does not penetrate through the gas space and the layers mix much less. Exhalation during the next cycle is due to the upper layer, which is less saturated with vapors, and the entrainment of light fractions decreases. The effect on large breaths is about 25-30%.

The device consists of a suspension rod, a disc, a stop, a yoke support and a bolt. The parts of the disc are connected on hinges: during installation, it folds and winds inside through the mounting nozzle of the breathing valve, so it is not necessary to open the roof. For normal operation, the disc must stand concentric to the horizontal section of the pipe.

The standard size is selected according to the nominal bore of the mounting pipe of the breathing valve. The weight depends on the material design; in the lightweight version, it is lower.

On which tanks does the reflecting disc pay off?
The higher the turnover coefficient, the higher the effect: on tanks with frequent intake and pumping, savings are noticeable, on a rarely operating tank — much more modest.
How to choose a standard OTP size?
Through the nominal bore of the mounting nozzle of the breathing valve, under which the disc will stand. Name the type of valve and select its DN.
Is it possible to put it in an active tank without opening the roof?
Yes, the disc is hinged and wound inside through the mounting nozzle of the breathing valve. The work is carried out on the decommissioned tank according to the regulations.
Why is concentricity important during installation?
The disc must stand coaxially with the section of the pipe, otherwise the jet bypasses its edge and the meaning is lost: the mixing of the layers resumes, and the losses return to the previous ones.
