Description

The axial bellows expansion joint (KSO) is a pipeline compensating element that absorbs thermal expansion through the compression and extension of a corrugated metal shell, the bellows. It is used on straight runs to compensate axial movement between fixed supports.

The bellows is made of corrosion-resistant steel and remains leak-tight through repeated compression and extension cycles. The base design has weld ends; flanged (KSO.F), threaded (KSO-R) and high pressure (KSO.VD) designs are also available.

OnePROM manufactures KSO joints to project parameters: diameter, working pressure, medium temperature and required compensating capacity. We handle selection, calculation and supply, with installation and commissioning where required. To start the selection, send a completed data sheet or a specification.

How we work

Selection

We receive the data sheet or specification and select the type and parameters of the KSO joint.

Calculation and quotation

We calculate the compensating capacity and prepare a quotation.

Manufacturing

We manufacture the expansion joint to project parameters under quality control.

Delivery and installation

We ship to site and, where required, provide installation, installation supervision and commissioning.

Frequently asked questions

What is a KSO joint and where is it used?

The base axial expansion joint for absorbing thermal expansion in a pipeline. Weld-end connections, manufactured to project parameters. Applications: district heating networks, steam lines, process pipelines, hot and cold water systems, boiler houses and heating substations, oil and gas facilities.

What diameters, pressures and temperatures does the KSO joint allow?

The KSO joint is manufactured to project parameters: nominal diameter 50–1400 mm (up to 3000 mm to order); working pressure 1.0 / 1.6 / 2.5 MPa (10 / 16 / 25 kgf/cm²), higher to order; temperature −60 to +450 °C; working medium — water, steam, gas, petroleum products and other non-aggressive media.

How do I order a KSO joint?

Complete the data sheet on the site or request a quote — we will select the size for your parameters (DN, PN, working travel, medium). Made to order, delivered across Russia and the CIS.
