17 bellows expansion joints in ППУ insulation with ОДК and manhole ЛЛ-800 — urgent order for a pipe manufacturer from the Urals

OnePROM manufactured in the last week at the factory 17 bellows expansion joints 1СКУ.ППУ/ПЭ.II.С-25-300(500)-190 in polyurethane foam insulation with a polyethylene shell, with an operational remote control system (ОДК). The connecting pipes are made of low alloy steel 09Г2С. The order was completed in a short time for a regular customer from the Urals, a manufacturer of pipes in ППУ and PPM insulation.

Deadlines were the main condition here. It's September: the pipeline needs to be completed before the cold weather is stable, so that the boilers can be operational by the beginning of the heating season. In such a situation, the manufacturing time of the components determines the duration of the entire facility — a two-week shift along the expansion joints means a shift along the entire heating main.

The bellows compensating device takes over the temperature extensions of the pipeline: when the coolant reaches the operating temperature, the whip lengthens, and without a expansion joint, the load goes to fixed supports and welded joints. Factory ППУ-insulation in a polyethylene shell is the same in design as the insulation of the pipe itself, so the unit is mounted in a common whip without breaks in the thermal insulation circuit and without manual additional insulation on the track.

The ОДК system consists of signal conductors laid in the thickness of polyurethane foam. They allow you to remotely, without opening the ground, to find areas of wet insulation — that is, to detect a leak long before it appears on the surface. For underground installation, this is the only practical way to monitor the condition of the heating main.

The choice of steel 09Г2С for the pipes is related to the climate: low-alloy steel retains its impact strength at subzero temperatures and allows welding during installation without special measures, which is important for underground laying in the Urals.

The second position of the same period — manholes ЛЛ-800, made according to the customer's drawing for the tank farm. Deadlines are also important here, but they are not as critical as in heat supply: the construction of tank farms can be carried out all year round and in several shifts. The warm season makes installation easier rather than a strict calendar restriction.
