The ERV-GR series is designed specifically for chemically aggressive media: acids, alkalis and aggressive effluents — the composition of the rubber lining is selected to withstand prolonged contact with such substances without loss of elasticity and tightness. For an industrial facility where chemical raw materials flow through the pipeline, rather than water or a neutral product, this is not an option, but a mandatory requirement for the material.
Expansion joints dampen vibration from pumping equipment and compensate for axial, shear and angular movements of the pipeline — without them, rigid strapping in chemical production quickly cracks due to temperature and installation movements.
