Bottom valve CMU

Draining the settled water and sediment from the vertical tank pit into the discharge pipe. It is supplied complete with a control mechanism.

Bottom valve CMU
Description

Purpose and design

The bottom valve removes from the tank pit what has settled down — settled water and sediment. It is controlled from the outside, from the site, so you do not need to open the tank to drain it. If necessary, the valve can also function as an emergency shut-off element.

It is supplied complete with a control mechanism МУ-1 or МУВ-80, complete with cable, fasteners and straps. The housing is welded to the tank wall and connected to the shaft of the mechanism, which is supported by an additional rack. Installation is performed on new, reconstructed and repaired tanks at the site of operation.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

How does a bottom valve differ from a siphon valve for the same task?
The siphon valve cuts into the wall and is suitable for periodic sampling of small volumes. The bottom valve operates with a pit and is designed to drain accumulated water and sediment, and, if necessary, serves as an emergency shut-off element.
When to take МУ-1, and when МУВ-80?
Both mechanisms perform the same task — controlling the valve from outside the tank — and are adapted to the size and layout of the unit. Name the DN and the strapping scheme, we will select it.
Can I put it on an active reservoir?
Installation is performed on new, reconstructed and repaired tanks at the place of operation, that is, on a tank that has been decommissioned according to the regulations.
How do I choose a conditional pass?
By the volume of the tank and the amount of raw water that has to be drained per cycle. The range consists of three standard sizes — 80, 100 and 150 mm.
