Heat-resistant TPS foam chamber

Stationary foam chamber of low-fold foam for super-layered automatic fire extinguishing. It delivers foam in a flat fan jet onto the product mirror or into the annular gap.

Heat-resistant TPS foam chamber
Description

Purpose and design

TPS is designed for layered automatic fire extinguishing of oil and petroleum products. It is used on vertical steel tanks, including those with a pontoon and a floating roof, on reinforced concrete tanks, as well as as part of combined automatic fire extinguishing systems.

The device receives low—density foam from solutions of foaming agents and feeds it in a flat fan jet onto a mirror of burning petroleum product or into an annular gap between the tank wall and a pontoon or floating roof. It is installed in the upper belt of the tank. The heat-resistant design is designed to operate under conditions of direct exposure to high temperatures in the event of a fire.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

How does the TPS differ from the low-fold foam chamber of the KNP?
Both receive low-fold foam and feed it in a fan jet. The TPS is heat-resistant and is designed for layered extinguishing under direct exposure to the high temperature of a developing fire. The choice is based on the design of the fire extinguishing system.
Which tanks are used for?
For vertical steel structures, including those with a pontoon and a floating roof, for reinforced concrete structures, as well as as part of combined automatic fire extinguishing systems.
Where is the foam fed?
With a flat fan jet onto the mirror of the burning oil product or into the annular gap between the tank wall and the pontoon or floating roof.
What should I specify in the request?
The type and volume of the tank, the presence of a pontoon or floating roof, the required feed rate and the brand of foaming agent. Based on this data, we will select the design and the number of cameras.

Do you need a heat-resistant TPS foam chamber?
