Samplers

Floating PP sampler

Layered sampling from three levels on the float unit. The sampling points are linked to the float and follow the product level.

Floating PP sampler
Description

Purpose and design

A floating sampler differs from a stationary one in that its sampling points are fixed not on the wall, but on the float assembly. The float follows the product level, so samples are always taken from the same relative horizons, no matter how full the tank is.

The selection is layered, with three levels. This is convenient when it is important to track the product stratification precisely in the upper part of the volume — where the output is taking place, and where the quality differs most from the bottom layer.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

How is a floating sampler better than a stationary one?
For stationary sampling points, they are fixed at fixed heights: at low levels, some of them are higher than the product. For a float, they are tied to the float and always work.
At what levels is the sample taken?
From three, in layers. Horizons are calculated from the float, that is, from the current mirror of the product.
Is it suitable for a tank with a pontoon?
The presence of a pontoon or a floating roof affects the layout — name the type of tank, choose the appropriate design or alternative.
What should I specify when making a request?
The type and volume of the tank, the range of filling levels, the product and its viscosity. Based on this data, we will select the execution.

Do you need a floating PP sampler?

State the size and parameters, or send a specification — we will make the selection and prepare a quotation.
