The starting bellows expansion joint (SSC) is a single—use device that compensates for the installation and starting movements of the pipeline during initial heating. After actuation, the ends of the starting expansion joint are welded, and the section operates as stationary.
SSC is used for duct-free and pre-insulated (ППУ) laying of heating networks, where it is required to compensate for a one-time starting movement without installing permanent expansion joints. The bellows is enclosed by a rigid telescopic casing.
