Description

Bellows shear expansion joint (KSS) is a expansion joint that senses transverse (shear) movements of the pipeline. Two bellows and external tie rods, which absorb the spacer force from the pressure and limit the axial stroke.

Shear expansion joints are used in Z- and U-shaped sections where it is required to compensate for lateral displacement without transferring axial load to the supports.

OnePROM manufactures KSS for the parameters of the object: diameter, pressure, temperature, and shear value. The exact parameters are based on the questionnaire.

How we work

Selection

We receive the questionnaire or specification and select the type and parameters.

Calculation and quotation

We calculate the compensating capacity and prepare a quotation.

Manufacturing

We manufacture the expansion joint to project parameters under quality control.

Delivery and installation

We ship to site and, where required, provide installation, installation supervision and commissioning.

Frequently asked questions

What is KSS and where is it applied?

Compensation of transverse (shear) movements of the pipeline. Tie rods limit the axial stroke. Used in: heating networks and heat supply, steam pipelines, process pipelines, hot water and HVAC systems, boiler houses and central heating plants, oil and gas facilities.

What diameters, pressure, and temperature does the KSS allow?

The KSS is manufactured according to the parameters of the object: nominal diameter 50-800 mm (up to 3000 mm on request); working pressure up to 25 kgf/cm2; higher on request; temperature up to +450 °C; working medium — water, steam, gas, petroleum products and other non-aggressive media.

How do I order a KSS?

Complete the data sheet on the site or request a quote — we will select the size for your parameters (DN, PN, working travel, medium). Made to order, delivered across Russia and the CIS.
