Frequently asked questions

FAQ

Why are PTFE more expensive than EPDM and NBR?
PTFE (fluoroplast) is chemically inert to almost all media, including concentrated acids and alkalis — it is a more difficult-to-produce material, hence the higher price compared to conventional rubber.
Are there any restrictions on Wednesdays for PTFE-shutter?
It is resistant to almost everything except molten alkali metals and some fluorinated compounds at high temperatures — it is suitable for 99% of chemical media.
Is it possible to PTFE-lock on food production?
Yes, fluoroplast is chemically neutral and allowed for contact with food products — PTFE-closures are often used in the food and pharmaceutical industries.
