What is the meaning of the "double eccentric"?

The axis of rotation of the disc is shifted simultaneously in two planes relative to the seat. When turning, the disc does not rub against the seat for almost the entire stroke, which dramatically reduces the wear of the seal and increases the life of the shutter.

How is a two-eccentric shutter better than a conventional wafer shutter?

It can withstand significantly higher pressure and temperature, has a longer switching life — but is more expensive and usually heavier in weight, so it is used where a conventional wafer gate does not fit the parameters.

Do I need an electric drive for large remote control units?

Yes, starting from about Ду300-400, the manual gearbox becomes inconvenient for frequent switching — we recommend an electric drive, especially if the shutter is involved in the automation of the object.
