AISI 316 contains molybdenum and is more resistant to chloride corrosion (seawater, aggressive chemical environments). AISI 304 (12Х18Н10Т) is a universal option for most tasks, including food production.

Are stainless steel gate valves suitable for seawater?

Yes, for sea and salt water, we recommend AISI 316 (with molybdenum) — ordinary steel is susceptible to pitting corrosion in such conditions.

Is there a hygiene certificate for food production?
