Frequently asked questions

FAQ

Double—acting or spring-return - which one to choose?
The double action is faster and simpler in design, but when the air pressure is lost, it remains in the last position. With spring return — in case of emergency air shut-off, the valve automatically switches to a preset safe position (open or closed), which is important for safety systems.
Why is the pneumatic actuator faster than the electric actuator?
Compressed air transfers force to the piston almost instantly, while the electric drive is limited by the speed of rotation of the electric motor and the gear ratio of the gearbox — the switching cycle for the pneumatic drive takes seconds versus tens of seconds for the electric drive.
Do I need a separate compressor for the pneumatic drive?
Yes, a compressed air source of the required pressure (usually 4-8 bar) is required — either a centralized compressor station of the facility, or a local compressor if the pneumatic actuator is installed independently.

We will select pneumatic actuators for your fittings and task (moment, remote control, voltage, execution) with all the documents.
