Frequently asked questions

FAQ

How is bronze better than brass for seawater?
Bronze (an alloy of copper and tin) is more resistant to corrosion in salt water than brass (an alloy of copper and zinc) — brass is susceptible to desalination in the marine environment, which reduces the strength of the hull over time.
Are bronze taps used for fresh water?
Yes, they are versatile and suitable for freshwater as well as for seawater — it's just that it's not necessary for freshwater, brass or steel will be cheaper.
Is there a performance for River transport requirements/The Maritime registry?
For marine applications, if necessary, we can supply cranes with documentation for the requirements of the River or Maritime Register — please specify this when placing an order.

We will select and supply bronze ball valves according to your parameters (design, DN, PN, material) with all the documents.

Send a questionnaire or an enquiry and we will promptly prepare an offer with prices and lead times.
