What should I specify when ordering the MD500 / MD500 PLUS series?
It is enough to state the size, working pressure, temperature and medium. If the parameters are not known, send a questionnaire or a diagram of the assembly and we will make the selection.
What are the delivery times?
Fast-moving items ship from stock, everything else is made to order. The exact lead time and price are confirmed in the quotation. Delivery across Russia and the CIS.
How does vector control differ from scalar control?
With scalar control (U/f), the drive sets the voltage in proportion to the frequency and does not know what is happening to the motor. This is enough for pumps and fans.: there, the momentum grows with the momentum. Vector control calculates the position of the magnetic field and holds the moment even at near—zero speed - it is needed where the load appears immediately: conveyors, lifting mechanisms, extruders, winding machines.
When do I need a brake resistor?
A resistor is needed when the load accelerates the engine itself: lowering the load, braking the flywheel, and quickly stopping the inertial mechanism. In these modes, the energy returns to the drive and raises the voltage of the DC link until the protection is activated. Pumps and fans with smooth run-out usually do not require a resistor.
What is the capacity reserve to lay?
The drive is selected not by engine power, but by its rated current — it varies for engines of the same power. For pumps and fans, a drive of the same stage is used, for mechanisms with shock loads and frequent starts — one step higher. Overload capacity is checked separately: 150% within 60 seconds is not always enough.
Do I need a shielded cable and a throttle to the engine?
When the cable length to the motor exceeds 100 meters, the capacitive currents and interference level increase, then an output choke is installed or a built—in version is selected. The cable is recommended to be shielded, the shield is grounded on both sides.: this also reduces interference to neighboring equipment in the cabinet.
